For the past week, Oromos from all over the diaspora have been demonstrating their dedication and commitment to the survival, health and wellbeing of Oromo victims of Ethiopian state violence by donating to the Macha Tulama humanitarian fund on gofundme.com. So far, a total of $24K has been donated in just one week. This is no small accomplishment—every dollar will be dedicated to the humanitarian crisis in Oromia. To every donor, we thank you deeply and appreciate your contribution to the recovery of the sick, hungry, and injured of Oromia.
However, the need for more donations is still very high. Thousands of the sick and injured still desperately need aid with medical bills, medicine expenses, food, clothes, and shelter needs. And everyday, more and more people are being injured and killed. Thus, another opportunity has been organized to continue supporting our people. The Macha Tulama Emergency Fundraising Committee has organized an important humanitarian fundraising program for October 22nd, 2016, at 6pm, at 4250 Harewood RD NE, Washington DC 20017. Please share this program with friends, family, and colleagues and come and join us on this evening. Our people have no government and external support; they have only the Oromo in diaspora to support them. Therefore, we must continue to support our people with all that we can. It is the very least we can do. It is not only our civic obligation, but it is our moral duty.
